5 Reasons Why Made to Order Is Better Than Fast Fashion

Twisted Crochet is not Walmart. And we’re certainly not Amazon and there’s no way we can compete with Temu.

We’re better. Here’s why:

We don’t cater to everyone. We can’t. I can’t. Behind Twisted Crochet I’m a one woman show who designs and makes everything by hand. I have an amazing husband who supports my creative business and helps out with all things shipping, craft fair set up, building displays, etc.
Crochet is my art form and it can’t be duplicated with a machine the way knit can. The only machines in my business are my laptop, cell phone, printer, and square reader. That’s it.
Quality, Quality, Quality. The quality and care that go into everything I make goes without saying. Sure, you’ll pay a little bit more, maybe even a lot more, but what I make will last for years. I still hear from people I made blankets for 5, 10, and yes 20 or even 40 years ago.

This is the first baby blanket I ever made. I was 20 and pregnant with my oldest daughter. That was back in 1984…you can do the math 😂

4. Customizing your options. From sizing to colors, you can customize your order the way you want it.

5. You get to work with someone you know, like, and trust. There’s nothing better than this. We know each other. And I’m honored to make for you. It brings me great joy to see you smile when you receive a new hat or an octopus or a new blanket that you special ordered from me.

Over the next few days, I’m opening up my made to order slots for fall and winter.

Orders for Fall and Falloween must be received by August 31, 2024. This is a very short window so if you want your candy corn or pumpkin beanies, now is the time to order.

Orders for Christmas must be received by November 15. Please don’t wait til the last minute 😁

December 7, 2024: Grinnell PTA Holiday Craft Market, Derry, NH

AND…I have 220 pumpkin, apple, pumpkin pie, elf, Santa, and polar bear hats available at Cider Hill Farm in Amesbury, MA. I believe the hats will be available starting at the end of August.
